Hi Jeff, thanks for the clarification. Would you please let me know is this trail more difficult than the trails in Schabarum Regional Park? I occasionally hiked with my dog in the Schabarum Regional Park without a problem. Jut want to have a better idea. thanks for your help.

Hi Meldy! We’ve rated this trail as “moderate” which is typically not for beginners. Having said that, even beginners have different fitness levels, so it’s not an exact science. One good thing about this trail is that it is an out-and-back route — meaning you go to the top, then turn around and come back the same way you came. This means that you can go half way up (or as far as you want) and turn around when you’ve had enough. Just be sure to save enough “gas” in your tank to make it back down. 😉

@Sharon – It’s a very popular trail, and generally safe as far as I know. You’ll have a difficult time NOT seeing other people regularly on this trail.

In reply to m. It's probably best for sunset, although the sun actually sets behind some mountains from here. It's still beautiful to see the colors of the sky change and the city lights. Just be sure to bring a headlamp!
