Emma, parking is free, but restricted to specific hours and locations. Read the signage carefully to avoid getting a ticket.

Thank You.

Would you please let me know is this trail more difficult than the trails in Schabarum Regional Park? I occasionally hiked with my dog in the Schabarum Regional Park without a problem. Jut want to have a better idea. thanks for your help.

Hi Meldy! We’ve rated this trail as “moderate” which is typically not for beginners. Having said that, even beginners have different fitness levels, so it’s not an exact science. One good thing about this trail is that it is an out-and-back route — meaning you go to the top, then turn around and come back the same way you came. This means that you can go half way up (or as far as you want) and turn around when you’ve had enough. Just be sure to save enough “gas” in your tank to make it back down. 😉

What would you recommend about this trail following the recent heavy rains, and one day following rain?

You’ll have a difficult time NOT seeing other people regularly on this trail.

It’s probably best for sunset, although the sun actually sets behind some mountains from here. It’s still beautiful to see the colors of the sky change and the city lights. Just be sure to bring a headlamp!

Both are stated in the write-up. Thanks, looking forward to checking this hike out!
